Criteria for Selecting Proposals

The PDT developed a master list of potential projects and then ranked them according to the water quality benefits to be derived and the need in relation to other municipalities. All priority projects were required to be in water quality "hot spots" as designated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Selected projects are consistent with the master wastewater and stormwater plans for Monroe County, FL and will have substantial water quality benefits relative to other projects under consideration.
