Montana Conservation Agreement for Implementing Key Conservation Objectives Fiscal Year 2019 Announcement for Program Funding

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) - Montana State Office is announcing the potential availability of funding for agreements for the purpose of leveraging NRCS resources, addressing local natural resource issues, encouraging collaborationand

credit:


developing state-and-community-level conservation leadership.

Proposals must be for projects based in Montana and focus on the funding priorities identified in the Full Announcement located in the Related Documents tab of this opportunity of this opportunity.

Collaborative projects that provide on-the-ground supportfor Montana NRCS Field Offices are highly encouraged.

Research proposals will not be accepted, nor considered.

NRCS anticipates that the amount available for support of this program in Federal Fiscal Year 2019 will be up to $1,200,00 0. Proposals are requested from eligible entities as identified in Section C (1) of the Full Announcement located in the Related Documents tab of this opportunity for competitive consideration of discretionary awards for multi-year projects, up to five years in duration.

Parent organizations.

Section 671(a)(2) of IDEA defines a ``parent organization'' as a private nonprofit organization (other than an institution of higher education) that-- (a) Has a board of directors-- (1) The majority of whom are parents of children with disabilities ages birth through 26; (2) That includes-- (i) Individuals working in the fields of special education, related services, and early intervention; (ii) Individuals with disabilities; and (iii) The parent and professional members of which are broadly representative of the population to be served, including low-income parents and parents of limited English proficient children; and (b) Has as its mission serving families of children with disabilities who are ages birth through 26, and have the full range of disabilities described in section 602(3) of IDEA.
