The maximum award for a master degree program proposal is $250,000 in total.

The maximum award for a PhD program proposal is $400,000 in total.

in Homeland Security-related Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (HS-STEM) to prepare students for careers in research and development of the technology needed to secure our nation.

Moreover, DHS S&T strongly supports the development of a workforce that reflects the population of the United States of America.

The DHS Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate, Office of University Programs solicits applications from eligible Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) granting graduate degrees to support early career faculty and to establish homeland security–related scientific leadership programs in areas critical to homeland security.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Proposals may be submitted by only accredited academic MSI institutions in the U.S., its territories or possessions, and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, that award graduate degrees in science (including social science), technology, engineering and/or mathematics (STEM) fields.

The maximum award for a master degree program proposal is $250,000 in total.
