3 Division of Migratory Birds seeks to improve understanding of Great Lakes Common Tern migration ecologyâ¿¿including routes, stopover locations, and wintering sites at a level of geographic specificity made possible by current technologyâ¿¿and understanding of local movements and accumulated levels of environmental contaminants, especially mercury, that might impact Common Tern reproductive success.
