Alumni Mentoring: The Journey Continues

The Public Affairs Section of the U. S. Embassy in New Delhi (PAS New Delhi) seeks proposals for a project entitled “Alumni Mentoring:
The Journey Continues.” The proposed project is a multi-stage structured mentoring program for USG exchange program alumni from the five posts that comprise

Mission India (New Delhi/North India, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata).

The program will comprise of 3 stages:
targeted workshops on mentoring for mentees and mentors; six months of regular mentoring interactions with a two- to four-week internship; and implementation of social impact projects by selected mentees in their career fields.

The program will involve 125 mentees who were participants in the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program, Community College Initiative (CCI) Program, Global Undergraduate Exchange (UGRAD) Program, and Study of the U. S. Institutes (SUSI) for Student Leaders, and who are now entering the workplace.

The program will also involve 50 USG exchange program alumni who are established professionals in similar fields to serve as mentors.
