Establishment of Industry Advisory Board at Southern Technical University in Iraq

The U. S. Department of State’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, Office of Assistance Coordination (NEA/AC) announces a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to establish an Industry Advisory Board (IAB) at Southern Technical University (STU) in Basrah.

The IAB

will contribute to the reform and modernization of STU’s core curriculum to include more advanced technology, adherence to international standards, and more practical, hands-on training components for current students.

In addition, the IAB will function as an interlocutor to connect STU graduates and administration with private sector employers, industry organizations, international oil companies, and government officials.
