Subject to the availability of funds, USDOL’s Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB) intends to provide funding for a cooperative agreement without full

credit:


and open competition to the International Labor Organization for a project to Reduce Child Labor and Improve Working Conditions in Agriculture in the Dominican Republic (DR).

The project will support efforts to combat child labor and improve working conditions in agriculture in the DR by:
1) strengthening the capacity of the MOL, including its strategic enforcement of labor laws; 2) assisting agricultural producers in establishing effective social compliance systems; and 3) improving access to education, training, and livelihood services for vulnerable children and families in agricultural areas.
