This program will promote and expand services in detention and correctional facilities to incarcerated individuals who have children younger than age 1 8. maintaining safe facilities, and providing transitional reentry services that incorporate a focus on parental responsibility for incarcerated parents and ensuring that youth with an incarcerated parent receive services that support positive youth development.

Eligible applicants are limited to states (including territories) and units of local government.

OJJDP welcomes applications that involve two or more entities; however, the state or the locality must be the applicant and the other entities must be proposed as subrecipients.

The applicant must be the entity with primary responsibility for conducting and leading the program.

Under this solicitation, only one application by any particular applicant entity will be considered.

An entity may, however, be proposed as a subrecipient (subgrantee) in more than one application.
