Universally Accessible Cast Concrete Topographic Maps of the Marin Headlands

These sculptural site maps will serve as a Universally Accessible tool to orient visitors to areas and trails of the Marin Headlands, and as an alternative to flat printed graphic maps currently printed on trailhead kiosks graphic panels.

This project will strengthen National Park Service identity

and provide orientation, and access to new or restored Outdoor Accessible Trails.

Evaluation of previous tactile topographic maps has indicated increased engagement of visitors who use them, across all ages, non-native English speakers, people with vision, mobility, and cognitive disabilities, and both first time and repeat park audiences.
