Subsistence Resource Commission Meeting Travel Coordination

Subsistence Resource Commissions were established by the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act (ANILCA) to recommend to the Secretary of Interior a program for subsistence hunting for Alaska National Parks and Monuments.

The National Park Service provided logistical support for Commission

meetings in the past.

This cooperative agreement is entered into by and between the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, (NPS) Alaska Region, Western Arctic National Parklands (WEAR), Gates of the Arctic National Park & Preserve (GAAR) and the Maniilaq Association to support Maniilaq¿s administration of logistics for the WEAR and GAAR Commission meetings and the Subsistence Resource Commission Chairs Workshop.

For-profit entities are not eligible to apply.

Resident Associations (RAs) or non-profit applicants that are not RAs must have either locally-incorporated nonprofit status (usually designated by the state) or 501(c)(3) nonprofit status designated by the IRS.

All applicants with nonprofit status must submit documentation attesting to their nonprofit status.

Indian Tribes as defined in Section 4(12) of NAHASDA are eligible to apply for FY19 ROSS funding.

Tribally designated housing entities (TDHEs) as defined in section 4(22) of NAHASDA (25 U.S.C.

4103) are also eligible to apply for FY19 ROSS funding.

Individuals, foreign entities, and sole proprietorship organizations are not eligible to compete for, or receive, awards made under this announcement.
