University Centers for Career Development (UCCD)

Under the U. S. - Egypt Higher Education Initiative, which, in part, aims to foster a 21st century competitive workforce, USAID/Egypt will issue a cooperative agreement award to establish a minimum of 20 operational and financially sustainable University Centers for Career Development (UCCD) in at least

12 Egyptian public universities in Greater Cairo, Upper Egypt and the Delta region.

The activity will operate for four years and the total estimated amount is US $ 20 million.

The UCCD will improve the long-term capacity of Egyptian public universities to assist students in their transition from college to work.

Activities include career guidance, training, technical assistance, sub-grants, provision of equipment and supplies, and operational costs as well as equipment, software, and communications technology.
