Conducting Public Health Activities in Egypt

The activities in the research FOA are designed to strengthen and build the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population's (MoHP) capacity to detect and respond to emerging infectious disease in the Arab Republic of Egypt and Northern Africa.

The Prevention Sector of the Egyptian MoHP is the

key Egyptian health sector partner with CDC's Global Disease Detection (GDD) center in Egypt.

the Egyptian MoPH Prevention Sector has the sole authority for ensuring the appropriateness, ethical management, and approval of public health initiatives, such as infectious disease surveillance and research, at the national, governorate, and local levels in Egypt.
