Federal Housing Programs

Buying a home is often the most significant investment that a person may make in his lifetime. The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, in addition to offering a variety of mortgage insurance programs, supports numerous programs sponsored by state and local governments and nonprofit organizations across the country.

HUD also offers excellent advice for making the home buying process as stress-free and rewarding as prossible. Check out their advice on Ninety Nine Questions Answered about Buying Your First Home.
