122 Volunter Fire Departments Receive Grants

The Virgina Department of Forestry awarded 122 volunteer fire departments with more than $191,000 in grants. The grants that were awarded ranged from $250 to $2,500. However, the department did not release how much grant money was awarded to each company.


The grants will be used for purchasing items that include protective equipment, communications gear, water tanks, specialty tools, and training materials.
