Gouverneur Gets $396,000 State Grant to Connect Town, Village Sewers

The Gouverneur Township will receive a $396,000 Local Government Efficiency state grant to connect the town and village sewage systems.


The grant is part of $4 million in funding for consolidating government operations and will help pay for closing the town's sewer plant, cleaning lagoons and connecting to the village system.
