Government Grant Money Scam Reaches Richmond

A nationwide scam promising fake government money made its way to Richmond. A college student Summer Bain from Richmond, Virginia thought she will be getting thousands of dollars in federal grant.


According to Bain, she was told that she qualified for a government grant where she will get $8,400 that will be sent through her bank account or prepaid credit card.


Apparently, the call was traced quickly from Grants.gov.
