Lafayette County to Get Nearly $18,000 for Illegal Dump Clean Up

Lafayette County will glean nearly $18,000 to help fund the area’s clean up efforts at unauthorized dumps.


The grant, which was administered by Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality, comes from the Department's solid waste assistance grant program. The grant will also cover the hiring of local solid waste enforcement officers and render public education on proper solid waste disposal and recycling methods.
