Massachusetts Life Sciences Center Awards State Grant to Support Throat Cancer Study

The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center awards a $300,000 grant to fund a multinational study at developing a noninvasive diagnostic procedure for cancerous throat lesions. The study will be led by Dr. Ramon Franco of the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary along with some of the researchers from Finland, North Ireland, and Catalonia.


The goal of the study is to create new treatment plants for different patients with malignant tumors based on the potential risk that these tumors will evolve into cancer.
