Uses and Use Restrictions
Grant recipient will have submitted a proposal and competed for Cooperative Agreement to be issued that meets the needs of the wildland fire community such as safety materials, Leadership curricula, fuels management, planning and prevention education.
Grants will be executed consistent with the project selected through the competition.
Funding levels will vary across fiscal years.
Grants are to be used consistently in support of the wildland fire community needs as a whole including Federal, Tribal, State and local fire agencies.

Criteria for Selecting Proposals
Proposals will be reviewed by a panel of technical experts within the Federal Government, including the Department of the Interior and other Federal agencies. Projects will be judged on combination of factors, including the relevance to the program?s objectives, the cost of the project, qualifications of the institution, and other factors.
