The Department of Homeland Security has three primary missions: Prevent terrorist attacks within the United States, reduce America's vulnerability to terrorism and minimize the damage from potential attacks and natural disasters.
Fiscal Year 2016: In FY 2016, 8,000 students required housing at the NETC Campus in Emmitsburg, Maryland, or at the Center for Domestic Preparedness located in Anniston, Alabama. Fiscal Year 2017: Estimate will remain close to the number of resident students for FY 16 (7,500 ? 9,000). EMI continues to deliver more off-site offerings, as well as using Video-teleconferencing, virtual tabletop exercises, and Adobe Connect webinars. In accordance with the provisions of 2 CFR 200, Subpart F - Audit Requirements, non-Federal entities that expend financial assistance of $750,000 or more in Federal awards will have a single or a program-specific audit conducted for that year. Non-Federal entities that expend less than $750,000 a year in Federal awards are exempt from Federal audit requirements for that year, except as noted in 2 CFR 200.503. There may be an evaluation following completion of most courses to determine the application of the information and the benefit derived by the community.
