Museum and Heritage Conservationist Summit

The Public Affairs Section of the U. S. Embassy in New Delhi (PAS New Delhi) seeks proposals for a project entitled “Museum and Heritage Conservationist Summit.” Under this project, a grantee will bring together 30 conservationists and museum professionals from across India (at least 7 being

alumni of the Art Conservationist Fellowship mentioned in the background section) to meet for 3-5 days in New Delhi.

The objective of the summit is to draft a plan to present to the Ministry of Culture focusing on recommendations on how to reform and modernize India’s leading museums.

The plan could include recommendations on training, infrastructure investment, integration of technologies into exhibits, international collaborations, public outreach strategies, use of social media as a part of the museum experience and educational programs.
