This is a notice of intent to satisfy requirements of 505 DM 2. The Division of International Conservation intends to enter into an agreement with the Chinko Project.

The purpose of this project is to establish a wildlife conservation

effort in the Chinko Project area, a 17,000 square kilometer wooded savanna and forest zone in southeast Central African Republic.

Specific activities include:
(1) train, equip, and support at least six teams of private sector, anti-poaching rangers; and (2) conduct participative workshops and informational sessions with seasonal livestock herders and local community members to build support for future conservation efforts.
