National Fish and Wildlife Foundation - Sustain Our Great Lakes Program

The U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) plans to enter into a new grant agreement with the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) to provide financial support for the administration of the Sustain Our Great Lakes grant program in 201 7. The agreement is part of the Great Lakes Restoration

Initiative (GLRI) and is supported by GLRI FY 2017 funding allocated to the Service by the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency - Great Lakes National Program Office.

The Sustain Our Great Lakes program is a public-private partnership among Arcelor Mittal, U. S. Environmental Protection Agency, U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S.D.A.

Forest Service, National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and Natural Resources Conservation Service.

Its mission is to sustain, restore and protect fish, wildlife and habitat in the Great Lakes basin by leveraging funding, building conservation capacity, and focusing partners and resources toward key ecological issues.

This is a notice of intent to award a single source grant to the NFWF without competition under justification 505DM 2. 1 4. B.

4. Competition for the award is not practical due to a congressionally formalized relationship between the Service and NFWF, region-specific grant-making expertise, and prior leadership with the Sustain Our Great Lakes program for more than five years, NFWF is the one uniquely qualified partner able to administer the Sustain Our Great Lakes Program.
