Canton Receives State Grant for Affordable Housing Project

Canton obtains a state grant of $20,000 for predevelopment of affordable housing projects in the town.


The grant to Canton is one of the 10 awarded to Connecticut towns as an incentive to "incentive housing zones". Incentive housing zones are expressed as residential or mixed-use developments that save a minimum of 20 percent of the units for households earning 80 percent or less of the area income.
