State Grant for Youth Intervention Programs

East Hartford's town council accepts $85,240 in state funding for youth intervention programs.


The programs are geared towards keeping teens out of the juvenile system and improving their relationships with law enforcement officers. Youth Services Director Cephus Nolen stated that kids can now connect with police officers and, perhaps, the town will see a change in behavior from them.
