Stepping Stones Gets State Grant to Support Child Victims and Families

The grants, which support education, medical care and other related activities, are part of Department of Justice's grant allocation to 14 centers statewide that offer services from law enforcement and criminal justice to child protective services, victim advocacy and health care.

Programs that provide a wide variety of informational, social and supportive services for children and youth. Adolescent Services; Child Welfare; Children's Social Services; Children's Services; Kinship Care; Youth Services

Programs that investigate reports of child abuse, neglect or abandonment; that provide for the temporary placement of children who, for their own protection, have been removed from the custody of adults who are responsible for their care; that work with families who are experiencing a problem with the objective of facilitating continued family unification or reunification; and which provide ongoing supportive services for children in permanent placement. Child Welfare System
