Boating Safety Data Collection and Analysis Grant

The Boating Safety Data Collection and Analysis Grant is designed to collect data nationwide and produce a National Recreational Boating Safety Survey (NRBSS) and provide consultancy services to measure recreational boating activity utilizing the data collected from this effort.

This grant will

credit:


produce two deliverables along with associated methodologies, datasets, ad hoc analyses, and other material.

All deliverables must be approved by the USCG.1) Participation Survey:
a survey estimating overall public participation and demographics of recreational boating in the United States2) Exposure Survey:
a survey estimating exposure hours and metrics for recreational boats on the water by state
