Deployed Warfighter Protection Program

The US Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground Natick Contracting Division, Fort Detrick invited applications for funding opportunities for the fiscal year 2016 Deployed War Fighter Protection Research Program (DWFP)under announcement DWFP-16-S-0 1. This announcement is being reissued under

DWFP-16-S-02 due to expiration of the previous announcement.

This announcement is not intended to solicit new pre-proposals.

All pre-proposals were submitted in full compliance with announcement DWFP-16-S-01 which closed on 8 Jan 201 6. The AFPMB solicited pre-proposals for original, innovative research designed to develop new interventions for protection of deployed military personnel from diseases caused by arthropod-borne pathogens and to improve control of filth flies.

Funding is intended to begin in April 201 6. Projects were selected based on peer review and scientific merit and programmatic relevance determined by an Armed Forces Pest Management Board Integrated Process Team.

Other estimated timelines for the FY16DWFP are as follows:
invitation to submit Full Proposal to be sent by 1 Feb 2016; invited Full Proposal submission deadline will be approximately 15 Mar 2016, 12:00 p.m.

EST; and Award Start Date approximately April 201 6. Full proposals must be submitted through Grants.Gov website.

Full proposal candidates will be provided complete instructions for full proposal submission.
