Community Services Block Grant (CSBG)/Rural Community Development Program (RCD) Water and Wastewater Treatment Systems Training and Technical Assistance Project

The Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Community Services will be accepting application to award a Rural Community Development Program (RCD), Water and Wastewater Treatment Systems Training and Technical Assistance (T/TA) grants to multi-state, regional, private, non-profit organizations

to provide training and technical assistance to small, rural communities.

These grants will provide a Regional/Tribal resource for assistance in ensuring that small communities have access to safe water and wastewater systems by either helping them develop their own systems, connecting to systems in neighboring communities, or improving their existing systems.

RCD funds will be used to provide training and technical assistance to:
Increase access for low-income families to water supply and waste disposal services; Preserve affordable water and waste disposal services in low-income rural communities; Increase local capacity and expertise to establish and maintain needed community facilities; Increase economic opportunities for low-income rural communities by ensuring they have basic water and sanitation; Utilize technical assistance to leverage additional public and private resources; and Promote improved coordination of Federal, state, and local agencies and financing programs to benefit low-income communities.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Multi-state, regional, private, non-profit organizations that can provide training and technical assistance to small, rural communities concerning their community facility needs are eligible entities under this funding opportunity.

Faith-based and community organizations that meet the eligibility requirements are eligible to receive awards under this funding opportunity announcement.
