Cold Chain Impact Assessment in the Philippines and Nigeria

USDA has implemented a number of programs related to cold chain technology over the past twenty years, in particular in the Philippines and Nigeria.

These two countries have national cold chain associations which have benefitted from various USDA-funded cold chain programs.

USDA seeks to

credit:


support improved understanding of how these programs have impacted the cold chain as it relates to agricultural commodities in general and agricultural trade in particular.

Such an understanding may include 1. A review of FAS-funded projects in these two countries; 2. An impact assessment of these project investments; and 3. A summary of Best Practices, Lessons Learned and Recommendations for future technical assistance.The recipient will collaborate with FAS to organize and conduct survey interviews (virtually and in-person) with beneficiaries of past programs, e.g., importers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, institutional buyers, food product manufacturers and processors, HRI professionals, as well as local government and trade associations, government policy makers and consumers.

Tribal non-profit, non-governmental organizations that serve federally recognized tribes and tribally controlled colleges and universities (TCUs) are eligible for funding.

Other entities may participate as sub-grantees.
