Former Boxer Charged with Wire Fraud for Spending Grant Money
Former professional boxer Keely Thompson pleads guilty to wire fraud charges against him for looting $205,000 in grant money from the District of Columbia government for gambling and personal use.
Thompson will be facing two years in jail, but his sentence could be lessened if he will cooperate with the federal authorities. Thompson used to manage a nonprofit that caters to at-risk children with physical fitness programs.
